after viewing the latest UmmahFilms video, somehow i was reminded of the Saddam Hussein's execution video. (one of my students asked me last 2 weeks: "ustazah dah tengok video Saddam kene gantung?" that, triggered the curioisity. heh).
so yeah. i did watch it. the video was of poor quality, with lotsa movements here n there. was concentrating on his recitations of the shahadah (that part was super clear) but i think my heart stopped for a millisecond when the plank underneath him was opened.
then watched the video of his burial. like the last part when the imam read the du'a. n the reminders that followed it. "fahfazil amaanah!"
what i think of it? or to be exact: what i think of (the late) Saddam Hussein?
what i can say is that: who we are at the end of our life is much more important than who we were throughout our whole life. we can be the most pious, knowledgable, kindest people in our life. but in the end, who we are when we die matters the most. n vice versa. Saddam might be cruel to others thruout his life, but if he repent, regret... ? n ultimately it's up to ALLAH to judge him.
it's obvious how the state of Iraq was much better, harmonious n peaceful without the intervention of some "peacekeepers". i really pity those Iraqians who actually supported those "peacekeepers" n even celebrated Saddam's death. as though wanting to show off how grateful they were to those "peacekeepers" who, as we all know by know (it's obvious la dey~), only brought Iraq to an even terrible state. more and more of our innocent Muslim brothers n sisters are being killed each day. at this very moment. NOW!
:(
to Saddam Hussein, who, after all, was still my brother in Islam: May ALLAH bless ur soul.
n ALLAH n His Messenger know best.

baarakallahu feek sis :)
