Yallah! Yallah!
28 Rajab 1435H

just started reading 'min adabil Islam' by Syeikh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah... (lent by Hassanuddin -one of my favourite students and future 'ulama of Sg insyaAllah!).
upon reaching a part about Adab when approaching a house, and how it is good for one to purposely make some noise to let the hosts/occupants know that visitors are coming, I was reminded of how the men in Syria would purposely say out loud 'YALLAH! YALLAH', whenever they have to pass by a place where there could possibly be women inside; be it the masjid or house.

So that the women will be prepared and be all-covered up (esp. for the mutanaqqibaat) and hush their conversations for awhile, etc.

best kan? :')

(here, kadang terperanjat2 bila tiba2 ada lelaki muncul tak semena2... huhu.)

Allah's Plans
25 Rajab 1435H

Lately, quite a number of things happened that truly show: Manusia hanya mampu merancang, Allah jua yang menentukan :')

from the Botanic Gardens trip, the mini bookmarks, sister's most-likely-to-be-postponed-Umrah-trip (due to Mers and new rules by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj)...

...
few days back, a funny-yet-kinda-upsetting thought crossed my mind: i juuuust felt like munching on smtg at BK. n so i thought: "kalau ada zauj, boleh jugak dia temankan gue layan ice cream ni semua...".

then this morning, as i was reading on the couch, relaxing, taking my own sweet time doing things...
I was reminded of how a wife will have to prepare breakfast for her zauj in the early morning for example, etc. etc. n a redha smile slowlu crept across my face.

"aaah~ Allah Tahu yg Khadijah ni belum bersedia sgt. byk lagi nak kene siap, sbb tu Allah belum ketemukan jodoh..." :')

i usually don't think much abt marriage, but others seem to.
and relentlessly ask me abt it. uff!
nampaknya orang2 lain lagi prihatin (dan risau) tentang statusku yang belum bernikah.

"bila nak kahwin?"
"anti/ustazah bila pula?"
"awak dah 'ada orang'?"
"elleh.. takkanlah takde calon.."
"cepat-cepatlah..."
"ustazah! ktorang dah chop kompang..."
.
.
.
Lalalalala~ *step tak kisah tapi sebenarnya kadang terfikir juga*

... dan tak kurang juga yang murah dengan Du'a2 Jodoh buatku.
Allah yubaarik feekum (':

reading what I wrote above (n my previous entries), I was well aware of the government's concern regarding Singaporean Malay bloggers mixing Malay & English in their blog posts -which is 'worrying'.

well, for one: mine isn't a formal blog.
secondly, it sounds more 'me' and natural (:
thirdly: I believe the government has loads of other more serious issues to worry about. the Pinkdot Sg move for example, where they're trying to get more and more Singaporeans to support LGBT, wal'iyadzubillahi min dzalik!

اللهم اهدنا ولا تؤاخذنا بما فعل السفهاء منا

Hujan renyai-renyai~
18 Rajab 1435H

yet to fast at least a day in this month. gotta warm up the engine now Khadijah... u've got loads to prepare for Ramadhan!

...
rehlah Tauhid with the sec 1 students went well yesterday, despite the drizzle that welcomed us. Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal. attendance was very good, with 105 out of 109 students turned up.

the wrap up was held at a not-so-comfortable spot yesterday. it was humid, n i myself was getting restless n perspiring. but noticing that some students were still listening intently to what i'm saying, n hushing their friends who were talking: i felt such warmth towards them. especially to the one-n-only Syabil. syukran :)

...
Marking Days start tomorrow insyaAllah. gotta settle the students' marks and collate them, before finalising my MA thesis insyaAllah.

...
Finally set up the w-usrah on the night of 17 Rajab 1435H :')
may Allah be Pleased with us.

Hubabah...
7 Rajab 1435H

almost a month since the last post..

exams are just around the corner. for modular subjects like Tauhid (that I'm currently teaching), the final test was held last Mon.
so today i went to Sheng Shiong after work with kak Yat to buy some goodies for those who scored for my papers, and also for the upcoming Tauhid-Tafsir excursion to Botanic Gardens on 17 May insyaAllah :D

will be bringing all the 4 sec 1 classes...
#excitedtapiseramlajugak!

...
singed the deed for the Postgraduate Diploma with ISTAC today.

...
been years since i last read a Malay novel. just now, managed to finish one (well, i skipped n sped thru the pages just to know the overall story, unlike my secondary years where i would tend to scrutinise the phrases & words used by the author, etc. #zamanjiwangz).

enough.

gotta focus on other books. we are what we read, no?

...
last Sat n yesterday, managed to attend sessions by Hubabah Umm Zein Aljunied from Tarim. alhamdulillah (':

it was a first time for me. hearing her accent (lahjah), learning from her firmness & zest in sharing the things expected from a Muslimah. hafizahallah.

it was an honour to be part of the organising committee, albeit being the only one there (i believe so) who hadn't been to Daruz Zahra', Tarim yet (':
segan. haqqan terasa mcm terasing sikit...

'ala kulli haal, alhamdulillah.

*was imagining myself being in Daruz Zahra' next year, without no one there knowing me. starting everything from scratch. making new friends. experiencing new discoveries. collecting pearls of wisdom from the habaib & hubabah. developing a much-polished, pure heart. a better Khadijah :'))*

ameen yaa Rabb.

Nota Hati:
jaga pandangan. jaga hati.
sekitaran madrasah pun, kalau diteliti oleh mata hati,
masih banyak yang boleh dilakukan utk lebih menjaga diri.
Luarbiasakan yang Biasa!
