been wanting to blog on Yunnan experience, but am yet to get the suitable ambience n mood to do so.
it has been work. ever since day 1 since school reopens.
not much of the teaching that's bugging me.
more of preparing, meetings, n sideline tasks.
Thank you Allah for sending me my lovely students to cheer me up. they bring such beautiful colours, n lift up the mood. *smiles*
Am just finishing the 3rd n last MA assignment from the Malang trip last June. yet to find the strength and time to extend my thesis... (':
ready....set....GO!
Bismillah...
it all began at Kunming Airport.
the musolla. taking wudhu' with the cerek...
the green bus. plus the bags n boxes.
n luqman (my student who often reminds me of my nephew, Zainul Abidin) has to be the one to seat in the back seat, surrounded by those mounting baggages n boxes. was so worried for him, should any of them drops n falls on top of him >.<"
had breakfast on the bus. each of us was given some breads, a hardboiled egg, an orange, and a peanut milk drink (!). i was still coughing very hard, so the orange was a definite no-no.
peanut drink is too.... erm, unique. so i ended up eating some breads with around 4 boiled eggs (from others who didn't want their eggs. saat2 memerlukan macam ni, telur rebus kurasakan sungguh lazat! padahal selama ni kalau mak ayah bawak balik dr jemputan, tak heran pun. huhu.)
I kept reminding myself that no matter how the food in China turn out to be, I just have to fill my sensitive stomach. can't afford to fall sick when I am supposed to look after the students for another 8 days..
n subhanallah! Allah really Helped me survive! no diarrhoea (for me) despite me bedal-ing the food provided for us. yang penting, yakinlah bila baca :
'بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء وهو السميع العليم'
sebelum makan! ^^
Yang Tzai Village. the 6-7 hours journey from airport. the super bumpy road. the vast, serene scenery. the compound. the basketball court that's active till 11 pm. the dorm. the shared toilet. basuh baju pakai tangan lepas tu jemur kat rooftop. the musolla. the kumbangs yang berwarna-warni di sana-sini. the classrooms. the library. the kids. comot tapi menawan. bathing session. meet-the-parents session. baju kurungs. kompangs...
the villagers. treasuring the donated clothes from Sg. the kids appreciating every drop of soup in the bowl of noodles that we were struggling to finish (':
Last day. teary-eyed. goodbye.
cherished the priceless moments spent there, despite the humble atmosphere. not forgetting the halaqah. the al-kahfi gathering. the jama'ah prayers. the adzan n Qur'anic recitations before adzan. the martial arts training with Brother Ali.
...
Mao Ho Jie school.
Abu Bakar & the super yummy fried potatoes.
Khalid & friends who patiently brought us shopping and sightseeing around the area.
up n down the mountain for meals. chopsticks. fresh tofu.
nasyids, silat, choral speaking. kuih tat. kuaci. Shui Jing Hotel. (i hope i get the spelling correct. heh)
New female school, the 200-year old masjid with roses, Little Hafiz. Another female madrasah and kindergarten. drawing on the floor with white chalks. Ustzh Safiyya n zaujuha, Hakim. reciting al-Qur'an to the sisters :') my fav ayat in al-Baqarah n part of al-Qaf.
Jiu Xing Caves. twin waterfalls. cable car ride. open air! pouch bags.
Stone Forest. buggy ride. rushing, rushing, rushing :((
(that's why I personally feel that the trip was nice, but could be better in some 'areas'....)
Looooong bus rides. sleeeeep, meals (Aladdin! Kentang yang sooodap!), solat, sleeeeep....
