May the water run until it becomes clear...
School reopened!
..and my body was kinda shocked by the sudden active schedule, and was exhausted by the time it reaches home. *pengsan~*
I'm expecting this year's teaching experience to be different from the last.
For instance, I'm now handling sec 1-3, compared to mostly upper sec and the pre-Us last year.
the sec 1 boys are overly energetic, and I've to implement a number of tactics to catch their attention that seem to wander about every 5 minutes or so.
e.g. the use of some hand signals that I've never had to use before. and alhamdulillah, they worked very well with these boys!
Actually, they're cute, and can be amusing most of the time (well, so far. since i've yet to "discover" more of them in the later days...). esp when they try to guess the meaning of some Arabic words that I use.
And of course, that means I've to try to keep a straight face in class. or else....
another reason why 2013 will be different is the fact that I've also to focus on my MA...
and the fact that I, Khadijah, want 2013 to be different. in a positive way.
more disciplined. more self-achievements (that only I need to know and acknowledge. to satisfy myself, and most importantly, to please ALLAH throughout the journey. ameen yaa Rabb!)

been trying to complete "The Road To Mecca" by Muhammad Asad, a 375-page non-fiction book I borrowed from Liyana about two months back. almost gave up on it initially (due to the rather serious first chapter...). Nevertheless, was determined to give it a try. and so I skipped the first few chapters, and was glad to find the later chapters interesting and insightful. on page 327 were these words, describing why the character chose to venture a threatening path to help his Muslim brothers, rather than remain in the comfort and peace of his homeland, in the company of his friends..:
"...has you not told me yourself that water which stands motionless becomes stale and foul? Let us go - and may the water run until it becomes clear..." (':

during the JB trip last week with Huda and Alia Husna, bought a book by Pahrol Md Juoi entitled: "Di Mana Dia Di Hatiku?" (referring to Allah Ta'ala)
started reading some of the poems the author included at intervals, and was deeply touched by the words and meanings, subhanallah! gotta find time to read the book in a more conducive place soon, biidnzillah.
speaking of books, how i wish i'll get to (finally) attend the KL Book Fair 2013... i already have a few books in mind:
- Badiuzzaman Said Nursi by Abdul Latip Talib
-Ensiklopedia Bid'ah (Huda strongly recommended this)
-other books by Pahrol Md Juoi
-the 3-in-1 Aku Terima Nikahnya set by Ust. Hasrizal (ni KIV, kalau ongkos ada lebih. heh)
for now, that's it.
just thinking of books, buat hatiku berbunga~~~
