Mawleed!
23 Rabi'ul Anwar 1435H

am beginning to adapt and accept TeachingTauhid with a more opened heart,
wa la haula wa laa quwwata illa biLLAH..

I love my students.

- Little Nasiruddin & Mustaqim from sec 1 surprised me by appearing out of a sudden (I believe they've been tracking me from 2nd floor) simply to (blushingly) offer to carry my bag of teaching equipments, when I was about to head to their class. ouh, and they reallly attempted to voice out the offer in Arabic. in the end, we were like 5 metres from the classroom when I finally understood their request. Nasiruddin was like: "erm, takpelah nak dekat sampai kelas pun"... hahaha.
quickly, I handed him the bag and we all broke into fits of laughter. that, really made my day (':

- some boys from sec 2A, despite getting scolded by me, still helped me with smiling faces the next day. one good thing about dealing with boys is that they seldom take things to heart.

- my growing sec 2C (used to be my favourite class last year). ana masih terhibur dengan keselambaan & kesungguhan antum..

- the girls are often wayyy more quiet, and are wayyy easier to handle.

إني أحبكم في الله ولله...
نفعكم الله الإسلام والمسلمين يا أحباب!

attended an impressive 1st Inter-Varsity Mawlid @SMU last nite. the Qur'anic recitation, Madeeh's & Sg Haqqani's performances + daiba'i, Syeikh Ahmad Saad's sharing on the Sunnah (not bid'ah) of Celebrating the Birth of Truth & Goodness...
felt so much warmth, alhamdulillah (':

Dr Syeikh Amru El-Wirdany's sharings during the Seminar Asatizah today also shed much light.

"Your interaction with the Akwan (the people, plants, animals, even inanimate objects around us) are actually your interaction with The Rahman (Allah Ta'ala)."

Meaning we have to be of our best character when interacting with everything around us.

"The Prophet sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam never even slapped on any surface.. that was how great his akhlaq & interaction was towards everything, so much so that the palm of a dead tree longed for him.... that the Mount of Uhud shook when The Prophet sollallahu 'alaihi walked on it due to uncontainable Love for him!
"ولو لم يقل 'اثبُت أُحد!'، لاهتزَّ إلى يوم يلقاه"
Allah Allah!

#no more slapping on tables or whiteboard or doors (even in classrooms) ya Khadijah!

the mini crush?
and so i updated to iOS 7...

the only thing i like about it so far is the fact that when my screen is locked, the notifications won't appear on my wallpaper (which has Rasulullah sollallahu 'alahi wasallam's Blessed Name on it).

oh, i just changed the wallpaper btw, since it's Rabi'ul Anwar! <3

...

a week of teaching has passed. this year i've 6 classes.

so far, all the classes are fine. sec 1C (mixed class) consists of many new students, mostly from Irsyad. n they're good & seem so earnest i can't help liking them (:

Their effort in trying to converse with me in Arabic (when asking/aswering questions, giving comments, seeking permission to exit the classroom or drink water, even when they greet me outside the classroom) are praiseworthy!

except for the Muraqib (Ahmad) who originated from Yemen and thus has no difficulty with spoken Arabic.

Once, a student actually said "يرمي ماء" when asked what he wanted (since he raised his hand). "throw water" = "buang air"...
hehe..

*sayang mereka*

as usual, the all-boys class would have to be dealt with a bit differently.

there's a boy in sec 1 who seems to have a crush towards me. lol. tak padan kannn..

while other teachers complained abt how he's always among the noisiest during their lessons, i find him super quiet and well-behaved in mine! he would just look at me and doesn't say much.

tak pernah2 gue segan dgn budak sec 1, tetibe pulak jadi segan thn ni -_-"
but i try to avoid looking at him in class..
haiya! manyak lecH!

takpe, dia blum tengok bila gue tgh 'berangin'... fuh! terus takut agaknye. hehe

let's see how future encounters with him n his classmates unfold... *winks*

eve of 1st day of school...
it's 12:17 midnite (slightly late to mark an entry on 1st Jan 2014. hah! #mcmlahpentingmana)

few more hours before the usual routine begins: wake up at 5+... getting ready for school... packed mrt... walking at super fast speed (or even run! yes, in jubah/ dress/baju kurung/skirt. dah namanya khadijah tu kalau tak lajuuu, mcm...)

hmmm...
but,

i'm not as excited as i used to be.

yes, i've ironed my clothes and rearranged my 'Doraemon bag' (named by Anisah Huda Khodrawi since I seem to have all sorts of stuffs tucked into it *secretive smile*)

yet, the excitement and enthusiasm have faded off. little by little.

astaghfirullah... :(

on a positive note: i'll be meeting many new faces since i'm going to teach the sec 1s this year (3 out of the 4 sec 1 classes). quite a few will be from different primary schools (not Aljunied).

Selamat Berkenalan!

hoping to find those gems who'll add sparkles to my days there insyaAllah... (':

...

meanwhile, here's a pic of the 5-hours zoo trip yesterday -just me and these 3 kids (':
