The 10 days of Dzulhijjah is HERE!
'Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu 'anhuma (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet 'alaihis solatu wassalam said:

"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more belved to Allah than these ten days."
The people asked,
"Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah?"
He said,
"Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah,
except in the case of a man who went out to fight
giving himself and his wealth up for the cause,
and came back with nothing."

(Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2/457)

>> jom sama2 berjuang! kini, dan selamanya... ^-^

hah. dengar tu Khadijah! don't ever let trivial matters affect u.
altho they might seem BIG in the first place,
remember that there are far more important things to do and to think of.
weigh ur priorities well. ur time = ur life!
hidup ni terlalu singkat utk diisi dengan memikirkan tentang bende2 remeh...
so: get UP! n get RUNNING! weE~

If you make intense supplication
and the timing of the answer is delayed,
do not despair of it.
His reply to you is guaranteed;
but in the way He chooses,
not the way you choose,
and at the moment He desires,
not the moment you desire.

-Ibn 'Ata'illah Iskandari

3rd year dah! hamdanlillah...
composed on:
18 Zulkaedah 1430H

Winter is here. Sejuuuk~ (n budak2 betuah @ Hannan baru je hantar carpet utk dibasuh Sat lepas. Imagine kalau Ojou masih ada. Mesti dah kene ngomel habis2an~ haa…)

3rd week of school almost coming to an end. so far, 3rd year was fine. This year, there has been some amendments in the curriculum. The subjects were being revised and some are omitted, while others are added as new subjects. for the 1st time, 3rd year comprises of 17 subjects (instead of 16 like the past years):

1. Qur’an al-Karim (this year’s syllabus: Surah Isra’, Kahfi, and juz 28 :D)
2. Saraf
3. At-Tadribat al-Lughawiyyah
4. Nahu (ada lagi! huhu~ but the ustaz is Superb! maasyaAllah!)
5. Tafsir (we’ve started on Surah Luqman! Suker~)
6. Tarikh (this year we shall continue with the Omayyad state, followed by the Abbasid state)
7. Balaghah (this year is ‘Ilm al-Badi’! but no more favourite ustaz teaching the subject :( )
8. Mirath (Faraidh)
9. Tasawwuf
10. Fiqh Al-Muamalat Al-Maliah
11. Adab (it’s Arabic Literature, not “manners” eh. Hehe)
12. Ad-Da’wah wa ad-Du’aat
13. Maqasid as-Syar’iyyah (inclusive of qawa'id al-fiqhiyyah)
14. Muqaranah al-Adyan (Comparative Religion)
15. Usul at-Takhrij wa Dirasah al-Asaanid (a more specialized area of ‘Ulum al-Hadith)
16. Khatabah (Public Speaking )
17. English

Basically, no. 8-16 are new subjects.
my favourite so far are Tafsir and Maqasid as-Syar’iyyah, where we learn the reasons and understand why Islam asks us to do this, and forbids us against that. Only when we truly understand the rationale behind each hukum that we are able to appreciate them (n Islam as a whole) MORE, insyaAllah :)

for example: there’s a hadith where Rasulullah ‘alaihis solatu wassalam said that we need not bathe the syuhada’ (martyrs). So: If his family were to bathe him, whether out of ignorance of the hadith, or with knowledge, would they be considered as sinful?”

Most of us answered a unanimous “na’am…. (yes....)”

But it turned out that Rasul ‘alaihis solatu wassalam actually said that because at that time, the Muslimin had a lot of other things to manage, and also, to get water to bathe them (tens, hundreds or even thousands of them) at the battlefield wasn’t easy. So Rasulullah, he who was sent as a Mercy to the Universe- doesn’t want to place us in a haraj (difficulty).
So: anisah said, they’re not sinful, even if they did it out of knowledge of the hadith.

For Khatabah, anisah said that just because we are women, just because we won’t be giving Friday sermons at the mimbar (hoho), doesn’t mean we need not learn this art. In fact, women are the very ones who have to be good at this because we are the ones who are going to raise and tarbiyah our children (suker!~) and our students (if we were to enter the teaching field later on). So hopefully, at the end of the year, we should be able to convey messages to the other party in the most effective manner (cedebah. iyelah tu. Hehe).

Oh yes, this year, there are 2 halaqah al-bahth (research) to be done by the third year students:
one on Tafsir and the other on Takhrij al-Ahadith.

Mirath: The ustaz who’s teaching us this subject is so-very-the-fatherly. always full of advises and inspirational stories to share with his daughters (i.e. us ;)).

The very first lesson he gave, where he introduced this subject, shared with us stories of the sahabah and what happened that cause the verses pertaining the laws of Faraidh to be revealed… tears were already streaming down my cheeks. -_-“ tak sangka betul belajar Faraidh boleh menyentuh hati sangat2, huu..

Then, yesterday, he shared with us a story about a man who wanted to go to a shop. In order to reach that place, he could take either of two routes: a 50m one, or a longer route of 600m. but he chose to take the longer route instead. When asked why? He answered:

“I saw a school of birds feeding on the path, thus I didn’t want to take that path,
afraid that it will frighten the birds and disturb them while they are feeding. “

That was like a “waaaaaaaah!~…”. Subhanallah! Yg ktorang ni kadang2 nampak org sengaje kacau burung tengah makan pun kitorang buat bodoh je kan. Huhu..

الراحمون يرحمهم الرحمان. ارحموا من في الأرض يرحمكم من في السماء

The merciful ones will be showered by mercy by the Most Merciful (Allah).
Be merciful to those who are on the Earth, and The One above will be Merciful towards u :)
....

p.s. things are going to be fine insyaAllah. Just gotta meet the officer again next month.

To Solehatuz Zakiah, selamat teruskan perjuangan…from Damascus to KL! :D All akhawat Dmasyq will be with you.

To Zariyah: Stay strong sis! Allah yashfeek syifa’an ‘aajilan. Jaga pantang tau, jadi sembuh cepat, lepas tu boleh join kitorang kat sini insyaAllah! :)

To Wardah: miss your presence in the class sis…

To Hida: Ganbatte Kunoichi! Biar kat mana pun kita berada, “family support” tetap hidup! Biarpun jarak memisahkan, ingatan dlm du’a (dan sebutan pat rumah) tetap subur insyaAllah.

….and finally, to myself: oit Princess! (sorry eh kalau buat korang nak pengsan ke. That’s a kinda motivational thingy to the self :p) dalam banyak2 benda nak kene buat ni, MAKE SURE you know ur priorities. Must balance your commitments, schedule ur time efficiently, and MAKE SURE you stick to it -_-“

n eat. N gain weight! weE~

oh yes: and improve ur relationship. First with the Creator, and then to the wonderful creations around you ;)

Ok dah! Nak siap2 gi skolah. Assalamu’alaikum semua ^-^
