been wanting to blog since few days back, but never got the chance to.
or perhaps i was too caught up with some other online stuffs that by the time i turn to the blogger page, the eyelids are getting heavy, signalling the brain to send instructions to the fingers to shut down the lappy. aha!
now that sounded a bit Bio-ish. and i kinda miss learning Bio. hmmm....
'Eid, btw, was fine. This year's my first 'Eid in homeland, after a few years celebrating it in my dear Syaam...
I'm kinda "nervous" and have this uneasy feeling almost every time i see ladies over-doing themselves for the occasion (includes visiting, open houses and "perjumpaan Hari Raya" events).... semoga Muslimin yang solih masih kuat dan mampu untuk menundukkan pandangan mereka...
another nervous-inducing thought is getting visits or "serbuan" from my students. *Big GuLP*
kheir insyaAllah. the pre-U 1 boys deserve it (at least most of them). my form class n the other pre-U 1 class also deserve it. and so do my sec 4 girls :)
and perhaps the sec 4 boys. hmmm....
n so, i just gotta brace myself n prepare what's necessary for them. urm. still need to treat the 8 boys, remember? n they really want to taste my cooking. lol.
"Ustazah masak je apa2. merepek2 pun takpe." then:
"semua bende ktorang bedal!"
me: "eeii.. seramnya!"
"eh! semua benda yang HALAL ktorang bedal"
*chuckles*
...
was just informed today that I'm included in next week's 3-days UBD (Understanding by Design) course for most teachers at Aljunied. that was super last minute info. 'ala kulli hal, alhamdulillah.
...
brought sec 3 ('ilmi) n sec 4 (Adabi) students to ROMM yesterday, despite not teaching them in school. accompanied kak Hayati. again, alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal. dozed off after Maghrib while reading a book about Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh (suker!!!). didn't realise i was that exhausted.
...
had a slight dilemma just now in school. was trying to find solution to a student's low self-esteem problem, and trying to find ways to help out students who have lots of pages to complete for their looming oral exam (al- Quranul karim). the week after school reopens (after the one week Sept school "holiday") is gonna be an ALL-OUT week for hifz, i suppose. meaning staying late in school. what's new anyway? (':
'ala kulli hal, ALHAMDULILLAH (now that also means me getting to spend more time with the al-Qur'anul kariim, isn't it? :))
...
had to relief a sec 3 all-boys class just now. it so happened that all the sec 3 classes had to prepare for their co-location events at Irsyad, n thus get to finish class earlier (right then). before leaving, one cheeky student (padahal muka decent eh) came up to me and ask in broken Arabic (i guess he has no choice since I started speaking in Arabic as soon as I stepped into the class -but that apparently didn't hinder him from asking The Question):
"are you married?"
me: and why do you need to ask such a question? -_-"
him: (tersengih2...)
and he wasn't the only one. the other time when i had to relief a sec 2 all-girls class, the FIRST thing a girl asked me was the same question (only that i think her question was in proper Arabic).
a few others have asked me the same thing, while some pre-U boys asked me (with such serious faces) whether or not I'm engaged and is it true that I'm getting married soon.
one repeatedly exclaimed: "Ustazah! ana dah chop ustazah (utk kompang)" etc. etc. etc.
Kelakar Seram + Geram.
another Super Popular question is about my age.
which will remain a secret for as long as Allah Ta'ala Permits.
yang pelik tu: apa je lah faedah yang dorang dapat dengan tanya benda2 mcm tu?? -____-"
