16 Muharram 1436H
5 modules of IOK covered. Left with the 5th module's assignment (on "Islamic Political System") and the final module and assignment(s) to go through end of this month, biidznillah.
Meanwhile, was blessed to attend Ustzh Eiman Sidky's sessions (more of mesmerising, passionate and inspiring Islamic story-telling sessions maasyaAllah) on last Friday afternoon and today walhamdulillah.
Today's talk were on Women Around The Messenger sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam:
-about Barakah a.k.a. Umm Ayman who devoted her whole life to care for The Beloved sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam.
- about Syifa', the midwife of Sayyidah Aminah when she gave birth to Rasulullah sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam, and also the midwife for Sayyidah Khadijah radhiyallahu 'anha wa ardhaaha (!!) when she gave birth to Sayyidah Zainab radhiyallahu 'anha.
- and about Umm Sulaim/Saliim, mother of Sayyidina Anas ibn Malik who has the أغلى مهر في الإسلام ألا وهي شهادتي أبي طلحة
Among the points that impacted me most were the parts:
- how Sayyiduna Umar radhiyallahu 'anh was able to change within few minutes; from loving Rasulullah sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam more than everything else except for himself, to loving Rasul nire than his own self. His son was very surprised (as I did); how could someone change so fast?? N so Sayyidina Umat told him that he envisioned himself standing in front of Allah Ta'ala on the Day of Judgement, and then he realises that he on his own, will not be guaranteed salaamah, unless he's with the barakah of Rasulillah sollallahu 'alaihi wasallam! N so immediately he felt a strong love for The Beloved, more than himself. Allaaaah...
Those, are the sohabah. The ones whose stories of sincerity, steadfastness and sacrifices never fail to move our hearts. Radhiyallahu 'anhum.
- Ustzh also reminded us to think of da'wah n the Ummah. "when was the last time we read the du'a اللهم احفظ أمة سيدنا محمد?" ("O Allah please protect the Ummah of Muhammad sollahu 'alaihi wasallam")
- likewise, ustazah also stressed on the importance of pure intentions. "Everytime we leave our houses, make the intention: "O Allah, Guide me to help whoever is in need". Leave the house with the intention to spread the beauty of Islam, do whatever you need to do, and ask for Allah's Taufiq & Guidance (':
...
Then I made my way to Masjid Darul Makmur (indeed it was very Makmur, esp. on Sundays! Ramei beno oghe)..
Another session of tahfiz as a relief for ukht Zahidah who's on an overseas attachment.
Was touched by the mujahadah of the students, esp that of a mother who did the tasmi' of juz 4 (tebuk) with me with her small daughter sleeping in her lap, and that of another more senior makcik (perhaps in her late 40s/early 50s) who did tasmi' of a verse (about 3 lines)..
Look at their Mujahadah ya Khadijah!!
U've sooo much to learn from others...
(Oh. n then when i got home, i sort of got dizzy, dozed off, and didn't attend Mufti's Tafsir dars at Darul Makmur..
When there were those who came all the way from the Eastern part of Sg for the dars.. Allaaaah.
Be stronger ya Khadijah. Stronger not only physically, but in your عزم (determination) as well! )
