Sabarlah Sayang...
"Buat muslimah yg belum dimiliki

usah rasa kurang & rendah diri

kerana Sayyidah Maryam meski dara sunti

Tuhan bukti kan mulianya diri, nama diabadi di kitab suci

dikurnia kalimatullah Isa Nabi

mulia diri bukan kerana insan bernama lelaki atau suami

mulia diri terletak pada taqwa di hati

sempurna diri kerana akhlaq Nabawi

Jiwa mujahadah menahan naluri,Selembut sutera sekeras kharsani

Doa & baik sangka penguat hati

Salah kata tiada kekasih bagaimana dinikahi

Biar kata orang yang penting kata Ilahi

Kelak Tuhan kurniakan cinta sejati, biar bahagia kekal abadi.

Ilham dikala kelam malam"

Nak Mogok!
Strained the eyes to key-in my students' marks (there are almost 200 of them, mind you).

Stopped halfway to frantically search for a student who only managed to obtain a 49.4% for his al-Qur'an, to get him to at least memorise another single page for me to add some marks to help him pass this MUST-PASS subject.

managed to get his friends to try locate his whereabouts (but to no avail, because it so happened that he didn't have his mobile phone with him).

it's not that he has some problem with his brain or memory or anything. perhaps it's his laidback attitude.

n this afternoon, while on the way home, i've decided on something.

something that might just trigger him to show more enthusiasm and put in more effort in his studies, particularly al-Qur'anul kariim (he's able to recite it very well btw)

I'm determined not to talk to him nor look at him since next week onwards...and perhaps until the 2nd semester kicks in. at least, not until he proves that he's willing to change his attitude and be more responsible towards his studies.

*mogok*

cheyy. let's wait n see, shall we? ;)
...

oh yes! after the failed attempt to reach he-whom-gonna-kene-cekik-by-me-kalau-bukan-kerana-dia-lelaki-bukan-mahram, I then accompanied Ustazah Sakinah, kak Masturah and kak Hayati to Toyogo at Toa Payoh, and was soon dazed with the various, very affordable stationeries. ikutkan hati, macam nak beli banyak nah bende untuk bagi budak2 yang scored untuk mawad kte kat madrasah tu. hehe... biar jadi pembakar semangat untuk yang lain, biidznillah! :D

Fairness + Rahmah
Yesterday, while cracking my brain to decide on how many marks to deduct from each student's written al-Qur'an exam paper, i realised that:

to be an 'aadilah (just person) and a raheemah (yang merasa kasihan -is the English word for it: "emphatic"?)) at the same time is definitely NOT an easy task. huhu...

as much as i really want to help my students,
i also have to be fair and maintain the standard.

just moments ago, watched Forum Perdana Ehwal Islam. coincidentally, the topic tonight is on Guru.

and among the points shared by Dato' Dr. Fadzillah Kamsah, was on how all teachers -in fact all normal people- should feel stressed (a manageable amount of it). After which he also shared some tips for teachers to avoid getting too stressed; to forgive all the students and colleagues, including the principal.
and for all teachers to really take care of their 'ibadah, esp. the 5 daily prayers including the rawaatib and tahajjud.

in short, it all evolves around a clean heart -one which is void of any grudges against any single being, and having a strong relationship with HIM :)

at least that's what i feel. and alhamdulillah, again, i would like to express my gratitude to Allah Ta'ala for putting me to work at my current workplace. Personally, I enjoy teaching and being with my students.

It's the deadlines for marking and submission of the marks to HOD (including the various marks for classroom exercises, projects, class tests, hifz, talaqqi, exam) that's kinda  stressing.

kheir insyaAllah :')

Markings Days
22 Jamadil Akhir 1433H

Suddenly "Markings Days" are not just about markings.

there were sessions to be handled, meetings to attend -at least for me.
(not to mention the headache that entails)

nevertheless, alhamdulillah. surely, there are purposes behind everything that Allah Ta'ala Has Planned for me.

أنا عند ظنّ عبدي بي

:')

...
somehow, i've begun to (quite seriously) consider getting myself a smartphone.

i guess the advantages would be more than its drawbacks (which could be in the form of me getting too engrossed with it n its apps that i might neglect or procrastinate other priorities).

perhaps a Samsung or an iPhone.

compare n contrast.

oh well, let's just wait n see (;

Khadijah asked.
Came across this at FB:

When I and a few other friends were single, we are inspired by the story of our Mother of the Believers, Khadijah Binti Khuwailid r.a.
There is an article on it, which is “Just Because Khadijah Ask” and one of the excerpts in the article says:

Khadijah asked. Khadijah, may Allah’s Mercy be upon her, asked about Prophet Muhammad for marriage. She initiated the communication. She sent someone on her behalf to find out if he was available for marriage. And it was because she asked, that she got that blessed answer. And with that answer, was the beginning of the of the greatest stories of love for all times, and also one of the greatest examples of a true muhsina and mumina. A woman older than him, previously married with children, was inquiring about a younger bachelor, from one of the best tribes in town.  The honor of his acceptance wasn’t just hers alone. It was his too. He was going to marry one of the most beautiful hearts in all of Mecca. A woman who’s heart would sacrifice everything she had to support him, and Islam. Khadijah asked.
