Been some time since this feeling :(

Dunia, dunia...
Betapa ramai yg terkejar2 di dalamnya.

Terasa bagai tak puas nak fikir mana satu tugasan & tanggungjawab yg perlu dilakukan terlebih dahulu.

Maafkan daku ya Allah, andai hambaMu ini terlalu lemah...
Bagaimana mungkin diriku digelar Mujahidah?
Apatah lagi ingin menjadi seindah Khadijah al-Kubra...

:'(((

Apapun, Terima Kasih ya Allah!
Kerana tidak pernah meninggalkanku sendirian...
Atas nikmat mengadu kepadamu...
Terima kasih ya Allah atas segalanya!

وظني فيك ربي جميل

Beacons of the Ummah
19 Zulkaedah 1435H

Alhamdulillah! Finally managed to visit the Obor Ummah Exhibition at the National Library yesterday, on its second last day (':
Initially, I was a bit taken back by its small scale exhibition (was expecting something slightly bigger? heh).

But once I started reading & reflecting a bit upon each and every inspirational story... Tears incessantly welled up in my eyes. Subhanallah...

Was really inspired by the way they filled up their time; learning, teaching, writing articles, khutbah & books... And some of them even had jobs outside the teaching field. Yet they were still able to contribute vastly to the Ummah! Allah Allah...

Then I had the opportunity to read some of the biographies portrayed in the second volume of Obor Ummah. There were some faces that brought tears to my eyes just my looking at their faces! Amongst them was almarhum Ustaz Feer. I've never known him nor met him in person. The first time I heard his name was last year during a school retreat, where some asatizah n shared about their experience with him. I just admired him... And he had this very humble, down-to-earth look (':

Kadang, terkilan juga tak sempat nak berkenalan dengan mrk -rahimahumullah-
Almarhum Ustz Ahmad Sonhadji, Ust Syed Abdullah Aljufri... Qaddarallah (':

Then I read the biography of almarhum Mudir -Ust Md Noor Taib. Ya Allah! His enthusiasm and sincerity, despite challenges faced were truly inspiring. Needless to say, I was deeeeeply moved..

***
Now Khadijah, to be inspired is one thing.

But most importantly, are you ready enough to get a firm+tight grip on yourself to walk their paths?? To optimise your you-think-your-schedule-is-so-packed-but-actually-it-can-still-be-improved days??

:'(((((

*takuuut nak jawab >.<*

'Eidul Mu'allim & MWTI
Teachers' Day Celebration '14 by the students was applaudable! We all really enjoyed the perfomances. Kudos to the PU 2 team who, despite leading the whole programme, also included the other levels in the programmes. Ahsantum!

(And for the first time, I tried the monopod given by the school and 'experimented' it with the budak2 bertuah. i felt that monopod is just-not-my-stuff. leceh + paisey -_-")

Am also proud of my Ihsan students for the enthusiasm & willingness portrayed throughout volunteering for the Young Muslim Carnival @MAA last Saturday.
Allah yahmiikum jamii'an <3

School break for September started off with a mock teaching (a.k.a. Micro-teaching) for JMS Aqidah subject group on Monday @MUIS. For the first time, I actually kind of enjoyed the session, despite the nervousness felt since I was the one to carry out the mock teaching for my group >.<"

Then off I went to MWTI for an initial invitation to share some words of advice (tadzkirah) with the sec 1, sec 2 n PU 1 sisters. Received a call that they also need someone to give a tadzkirah after Maghrib for that day...

Bidan Terjun!

But afterall, it's His Plan, isn't it? (':

Alhamdulillah, it turned out very well. The sisters were very responsive and were full of questions! huhu...

And alhamdulillah, managed to spend time with my ustaazat, esp those who volunteered to overnight/oversee the students, namely Teacher Sa'adiah (my P4 form teacher), Ustazah Habibah (my P1 form teacher) and Ustazah Sidah (my sec 1 form teacher). Hafizahumullah.

Thank you dear Mardhiyah Yusof for the helpful sharing of ideas. Baarakallahu feek.

Ya Allah, jadikanlah Khadijah kuat & mampu menjadi Muslimah yg baik & mengamalkan apa yang dia tahu, dan terus menambah ilmunya tentang agamaMu, demiMu ya Allah ...

P.S. I forgot to take any pic during the qiyam.. ngee~

Makaaaaan je!
5 Zulkaedah 1435H

We had a Teachers' Day Hi-Tea at Carousel today, sponsored by an ex-Alj Ustaz. Alhamdulillah, baarakallahu feeh.

Every year, we'll have a special treat for this special occasion at a reknown, grand restaurant.

Just that...

Some thoughts have been bugging me, and I've come to the conclusion that:

Buffet makes us eat a lot more than we should.

The notions of "sayangnya kalau dah bayar mahal-mahal tapi makan sikit je... Rugi!" Or "bila lagi nak dapat makan macam-macam begini..." Or "bukannya selalu makan kat tempat mahal-mahal gini... ", etc.

Yes, undeniably the foods served were delicious & tempting.

Yes, it is a rare treat.

and Yes, I'm able to eat quite a lot (despite my petite built).

Nevertheless, I still feel guilty.

I still find this "eat-all-u-want" idea unjustified and in non-compliance to the Shari'a.

Islam is all about moderation, isn't it?

About eating when one's hungry and stopping when one's full.

(Yeah I believe most -if not all of us- are aware of the hadith).

that in the dunya:
حلالها حساب،
وحرامها عذاب!

Yet, why do Muslims like buffet so much? (Including this weak self that's also guilty of being involved and over-indulging in all these wordly ni'mah...)

>.<"

Mujahadah ya Khadijah! :'((

Make a Difference
"...We can do this. We are educators. We are born to make a difference."

- quote from the presenter in an upworthy.com video ('Teacher gave an F to a student with a smiley face..') on the importance of educators creating healthy relationships with their students, making them believe in their potentials (eventhough the students themselves might think that they're 'weak').

"Students don't learn from teachers they don't like."

#pre-teachers' day reminder for the self (':
