Susu Goyang (Milkshake laa)
18 Rabi'ul Akhir 1430H

Been awhile since I last updated my khad-safiy. Not much to update? Nah. In fact, plenty has happened ever since.

- few weeks back, there was an ijazah Syamail Muhammadiyah (it's a kitab describing Rasulullah 'alaihis salatu wassalam characteristics) at Jami' Salam somewhere near Jaubar, a city around 20 mins journey from Ruknuddin (the city my friends and me are currently staying in). Led by Syeikh Abul Huda Al-Ya'qubi -hafizahullah- , the event started at round 8:40pm and ended at almost 2 a.m.! no room to feel sleepy (although we all came after school) because Syeikh was reading the hadiths with endless enthusiasm, and from time to time, called out to the syabab below (the ladies were at the 2nd storey): "أين الصلاة على النبيّ؟؟" ("where's the salawat for our Prophet?"). so everytime the Prophet's name was mentioned, the jami' practically roared with salawat. Sukaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nah sgt!!! Terasa sampai ke lubuk hati…

-finally been to the dentist. The last visit was around a month before I flew off to Syria. Yikes! Alhamdulillah, the teeth are healthy still. Hee. And are looking forward to be checked by Ruqa later in Singapore ;)

-been to 2 of my Arab classmates’ houses with Wardah. They’ve been inviting us over for the past few months. Very kind, friendly and generous people. Thank you Lama and Ukht Haifa’ for the lovely hospitality and even lovelier food. Sodap~ Jazakumallahu khairan!

-a Yugoslavian sister has just moved in with us. That means there are now 10 ppl at Hannan Pte. Ltd. She’s a friend of kak Nouran (the Yugoslavian-Kosovo-Russian sis who once stayed with us but have moved out after she got married with a Singaporean over here :D). the very plus point is that we’ve to converse in Arabic with her ^-^ so hopefully that’ll help to improve our conversational Arabic.

-we’ve bought a new blender! (haha. pentingnyeeeer~) hopefully this Moulinex (the previous one was a Kenwood) will last long. Many comments have been thrown at the Kenwood:

“ada asap!”,
“kita nampak api keluar!”,
“bau terbakar!”,
“kita takut bau ni toxic and affect our food…”
and finally:
“kita dah trauma dengan blender ni..”.

so yes, we finally bought one at Syam Centre last Friday, dated 10th April 2009. Been thinking of making some milkshakes n fruit juices soon (sebelum bau bawang, lada dan ntah hape2 melekat kat blender tu. Imagine minum fruit juice perisa bawang? >.<)…

-weather update (haa!): it’s mid-April, but somehow the weather is still windy and can get very cold, especially in the evening. Nak ckp winter, bukan. Nak ckp summer pun bukan. ..

wokeh done bebeh. gotta go to school~

p.s. there's rehlah (excursion) with the school tomorrow! :D
