Hutang Lama~
to Maryam Abdul Rahman,

here are the notes on Keluarga Sakinah & Mawaddah (dated 19 Feb 2007) that i owe u. sorry for the delay. i remember you asked me back then to share with you what kiyai Aa Gym presented in this lecture, and i remember saying "InsyaAllah" that i'll share it with you. words must co-exist with actions, yes? =)
as what my Anisah shared with us few days back, in the words of Ibn Taimiyyah:

قل إن شاء الله تحقيقاُ ولا تعليقا

Say "InsyaAllah" with the determination to fulfil what has been said, and not simply as something to "sedapkan ayat" or "pelengkap bicara" or so that your sentence seems more religious, etc.

reminder for myself, as always. and then to others :)

initially i thought of sending you these points via email, but hey, my visitors might be interested in them too. bab rumahtangga ni peminatnya ramai kan, sama ada dorang nak mengaku ke tak nak je~ -_-"

Ciri-Ciri Keluarga Sakinah:

5. Bersahaja dalam hidup.
-biasa sahaja, tak usah mewah2, tak usah megah2.. be proportionate and humble.
-jangan fikirkan penilaian orang kerana ianya sering membuatkan kita tertipu.

...
to Kak Sarah Adam:

i remember owing you the notes for one of the seminars once held at MWTI. what i remembered from the seminar was (didn't get to follow it completely coz had to do some ushering at that time. hee):

- It's fine to differ in our opinions, but those disagreements and differences in opinions should be presented politely, with adab.

and in addition to what i grasp during the 'Eidul Fitr khutbah few months back, the imam was reminding us that differences in opinions should not hinder us from loving each other :)

moral of the story:
meh lah sayang-menyayang. ha!

p.s. feel relieved to be able to share all these, as if a burden has been lift off my shoulder. should there be some other "hutang", please let me know. will try to recall them, biidznillah.

Mahkota Temasek!
17 Zulkaedah 1429H

First and foremost, a million thanks to my dearest Huda for the delicious sweet and sour fish fillet dish today. It had been a long, long time since I last had the chance to savour FISH.

Sedapnya mak~ *peluk Huda kuat-kuat*

Ha! Sebut pasal mak:

Mak! Org rindu sgt kat Mak! Rindu masakan mak~
Rindu kat anak2 saudara org jugak. Zainul, Nasuha, Asadullah, Safiyya, Haydar, Syaakirah, Huda, n Mu’adz. Ingat Cik Ija lagi tak? Berani2 nye lupa kat Cik Ija, nnt Cik Ija tak nak main dengan korang lagi!

Seems that I still have "essences" of gangsterism n childishness in me. Heh.
...

Meanwhile, we had Mahkota Temasek last Friday. It was an all-sisters sports event. Syeikh Ratib An-Nabulsi was kind enough to let us use his villa –situated somewhere less than half an hour journey from Damascus. From ard 7am to 4pm, we played various types of games, ranging from brain exercises to ball games and races.

Teamed up with Huda, Hida, Miftah, Hafizah, Mardhiyah, Madihah, Syafawati, n Kak Dja Ithnin. Group org kecik2. Hehe. Alhamdulillah, had a great time with all of you.

Dah buat warm up & stretching pun, badan masih sakit2. Rasakan! Lari tak ingat dunia, especially during the race around the football field in kain batik. -_-“

Luckily our group won the race. weE~ here, it’s difficult to get a place where sisters can enjoy themselves with no brothers around. So when we had the huge villa –complete with 3 swimming pools – to ourselves, it was really an opportunity not to be left unoptimised. There was street soccer. Kekek sgt. The last time I played it was during sec 1. Been years, n so needless to mention how merepek i played the game. Thus it was really unexpected when I scored a goal for my group. Lol. Our group lost 1-5 to the other group btw. (teruk kan?) Group org besau2. Hehe.

All in all, it was definitely an event to be cherished. Sayang my akhawat semua~

Allah yahmiina wa yahmiikum! Amiin! :)

p.s. to Kak Aisyah Salleh, selamat bermusafir kak~ bila baca buku tu ingat kte k? ;)

'Alimah punye pasaL~
ok. my apologies for "changing" ur name 'Alimah.

my dear readers, the sister who just moved to Hannan is "'Alimatunnisa". she pretended to faint, n even wrote on the whiteborad that we have at home about this major crime of mine. here's part of the scene that took place as soon as I returned home from school last Thursday:

'Alimah: Kak Khad... tgk whiteboard! tgk whiteboard. nama kte bukan 'Alimatul husnaaaaaaaa! *whine* kte baca blog akak sampai tiga kali..... bla.. bla.. bla...

me: really eh kte tulis "alimatul husna? *smiling broadly sambil step muka innocent* sorry lah...

then, the rest purposely started adressing her with her "new" name.

'Alimah: kalau korang sebut 'Alimatul husna lagi, kiter nak lari dari rumah!"

Fathanah: ouh. nak lari rumah???? ALIMATUL HUSNA! ALIMATUL HUSNA! *chants*

basically, that's the end of the story. the main character of the story (this someone named 'Alimah...) is still residing at Hannan btw. dia action je lebih. -_-"

.....
'Aimah aside, just want to share a few main points addressed by the Professor at a dars (it's in English btw) just now:

- we have to be careful of the choices we make. people these days are fighting for freedom. e.g. freedom of speech, etc.
but the REAL freedom is actually being free of the dunya, because only then are we able to dedicate ourselves to Our Creator.

-If you're intelligent, you'll only do the things that will benefit you in the hereafter. because if we chase the hereafter, the dunya will chase us, whereas if we chase after the dunya, it will only run away from us. that's the way the dunya is. (whether or not we've realised it by now)

-Islam is not about simply STORING information. Rather, it's about our ACTIONS, and IMPLEMENTATIONS of the knowledge we've gained. With knowledge comes responsibility.

(remember that Khadijah! with Knowledge comes responsibility. bigggg one.... )

O Allah, please help us...
