ok. my apologies for "changing" ur name 'Alimah.
my dear readers, the sister who just moved to Hannan is "'Alimatunnisa". she pretended to faint, n even wrote on the whiteborad that we have at home about this major crime of mine. here's part of the scene that took place as soon as I returned home from school last Thursday:
'Alimah: Kak Khad... tgk whiteboard! tgk whiteboard. nama kte bukan 'Alimatul husnaaaaaaaa! *whine* kte baca blog akak sampai tiga kali..... bla.. bla.. bla...
me: really eh kte tulis "alimatul husna? *smiling broadly sambil step muka innocent* sorry lah...
then, the rest purposely started adressing her with her "new" name.
'Alimah: kalau korang sebut 'Alimatul husna lagi, kiter nak lari dari rumah!"
Fathanah: ouh. nak lari rumah???? ALIMATUL HUSNA! ALIMATUL HUSNA! *chants*
basically, that's the end of the story. the main character of the story (this someone named 'Alimah...) is still residing at Hannan btw. dia action je lebih. -_-"
.....
'Aimah aside, just want to share a few main points addressed by the Professor at a dars (it's in English btw) just now:
- we have to be careful of the choices we make. people these days are fighting for freedom. e.g. freedom of speech, etc.
but the REAL freedom is actually being free of the dunya, because only then are we able to dedicate ourselves to Our Creator.
-If you're intelligent, you'll only do the things that will benefit you in the hereafter. because if we chase the hereafter, the dunya will chase us, whereas if we chase after the dunya, it will only run away from us. that's the way the dunya is. (whether or not we've realised it by now)
-Islam is not about simply STORING information. Rather, it's about our ACTIONS, and IMPLEMENTATIONS of the knowledge we've gained. With knowledge comes responsibility.
(remember that Khadijah! with Knowledge comes responsibility. bigggg one.... )
O Allah, please help us...
