What Telah Happen?
Came across this chart while flipping through a chapter on “How To Manage Your Time” from the book entitled: Training Guide for Islamic Workers by Hisham At Talib.

This chart shows what you might be doing with your time in a life of average length:

Activity & Time:

Tying one’s shoes >8 days

Waiting for traffic lights to change >1 month

Time spent at the barber shop >1 month

Dialing the telephone >1 month

Riding elevators (in big cities) >3 months

Brushing one’s teeth >3 months

Waiting for the bus >5 months

Time spent in the shower or bath >6 months

Reading books >2 years

Eating >4 years

Earning a living >9 years

Watching television >10 years

Sleeping >20 years

mcm… O.o” gitu kan? Esp. part waiting for the bus tu. Fuh. Ingat dulu time zaman sekolah, sampai meleleh-leleh air mata tunggu bus tak datang2… pasal takut lambat sampai skolah, nanti kene denda (lagi!). ish. Masa tu, dlm hati, berazam nak marah/cekik/tarik rambut driver bus tu bila nampak muka dia nanti…but of course those drama scenes never took place laa. I’m too nice for that sort of things :p

I recall reading a dialogue in a novel:
“Org perempuan ni, cakap je lebih. Tapi nanti tak sampai hati…” hoho. betol betol betoL!

Anw, the author continues:

So the way the whole thing adds up –if you are going to have the time to do some of the things you want to do, you are just going to have to plan it and program it into your busy schedule. If you wait for the right time to present itself, you might wait forever.

@ =)

blessed moments...

This, is a clip of Syeikh Nai’m Al-‘Arqasusi’s dars (lesson) which is held every Sunday night at jami’ Iman, Damascus. He’s one of my favourite masyaikh, hafizahullah.

This weekly dars is based on the syarh (explanation) of the hadiths in Sahih Al-Bukhari. In this particular dars, Syeikh is sharing about a special time on every Friday, during which Allah will answer the du’a of those who asks Him.

There are around 59 opinions of the ‘ulama’ (scholars) no this issue. But the 2 most sahih times are:
1. between the time the imam stands at the mimbar until the time he performs the solah.

2. between after ‘asar till sunset. This second opinion is the one that most fuqaha’ (Fiqh specialists) agreed upon, after comparing and studying various hadiths of the Prophet ‘alaihis solaatu wassalam.

My point is, let’s grab this opportunity and optimise these blessed moments by making supplications and repentance to HIM. And let’s not stop here. Hopefully, we’ll then be accustomed to trying to be close to HIM not only during the abovementioned time, but in each and every moment of our (short) life :)

Back in Syria, particularly during Syeikh Na’im’s dars, he –hafizahullah- will always make a point to stop or pause the dars few minutes before the call for Maghrib, to let all of us make as many du’a as possible. Terasa ketenangannya… ~

Allah answers our du’a through:

-granting exactly what we asks HIM

-protecting us from evils and dangers from whatever it is that we’re asking him (sometimes, we thought what we asks Him is the best for us, padahal tak)

-saving it and only granting it to us in the hereafter, in the form of something that’s much greater than what we asked HIM.

However, there are a few things we need to keep in mind while making our du’a:
- be sincere
- humble
- ensure that our clothing and food are all from source that are halal
- khusyu’ (focusssSS!)

Never:
- Aks for something bad to befall on others
- Asks for the destroy of silaturrahim
- Insists that Allah answers our du’a a.s.a.p (ni kes org tak sabar -_-“)

“And when harm touches man, he invokes Us,

lying on his side, or sitting, or standing (i.e. at all times).

But when We have removed his harm from him,

he passes on as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him!
[10:12]

Tak nak jadi macam gini kan?? >_<

Make du’a at times of ease…
When we’re still healthy..
When we’re rich…
And still strong…
Barulah namanya Cinta Hakiki pada Ilahi :)

As We Step into Ramadhan...
My Muslim brother/sister,
If you were to sin only once everyday
Then what's the amount of your sins
say, in 20 years?
Verily, there are more than 45 000 sins
thus, fear Allah...
and increase our istighfar..

Let's start our Ramadhan 1430H with hearts always in remembrance of Allah...
seeking repentance from HIM....
and of course, not forgetting our beloved Rasulullah 'alaihis solatu wassalam

Sollu 'alan nabiy!

btw, some sharings from my dear Radiah who's still in Syria, obtained from a dars by Syeikh
Abdul Jaliil Al-'Ataa

Menghidupkan Ramadhan Bagi Penuntut-Penuntut Ilmu

-sebelum puasa perlu bersihkan diri..

that's it for now. again, these are reminders for myself, then for others :)

kitorang nyanyi siap dengan gaya & props! ish. bila ingat-ingat balik, memang kitorang tebiat. tapi itulah kitorang. yg dulu. (sekarang masih tebiat tak? hehe). lagipun kitorang nyanyi kan pisah. banin (the boys) jauuuuh. jadi dorang bukannya nampak "aksi" kitorang kan?

dah. gue minta diri dulu... ;)

sopannye~
12 Sya'aban 1430H

just started tutoring a pri 2 girl from Madrasah Al-Ma'arif Arabic Language today.

verrrry the comel.

everytime I asked her something that she was having a hard time recalling its name in Arabic, "astaghfirullah" flowed out countless of times from her lips.

at the end of the session, when her mom served both of us porridge, she went:

" jemputlah makan cikgu -eh! ustazah.." *smiles*

"nak tissue?" *smiles*

"kalau tak habis pun takpe, janganlah paksa..." *more smiles*

she really is so charming...
despite her age, she behaves very well,
not to mention her excellent hospitability.
was showering me with her beautiful smiles throughout our almost 2 hours session together.
baarakallahu feek ya Ithnaini (that's her name).
she's so lovely, one would have a hard time not falling in love with her :D

anw, that aside, i came across a Mathematical problem that Ithnaini had for homework:

Geetha bought some stickers for $3.
She sold them to Tina for $4.
Then she bought them back from Tina for $5.
When Herman wanted the stickers, Geetha sold the stickers to him for $5.

a) Did she make any money?
b) If she did, how much did she make?

jangan cakap primary 2, gue punye kepala sendiri pening beb baca ini benda. gatal betul tau Geetha ni, lain kali kalau nak stickers tu, janganlah jual dgn org lain kan... hehe.

anyway, i think i managed to solve it, but find it hard to explain the steps. (ntah betul ke tak :S)
hah! korang pulak macam mana? ^-^
