chanced upon these words of Sayyidina Umar ibn Abdul Aziz to Abu Bakr ibn Hazm while preparing for the Islamic Law and Its Application exam (3-5pm today!) :

".... Circulate knowledge and teach the ignorant, for knowledge does not vanish except when it is kept secretly (to oneself)."
