First n foremost, all praises be to Allah for my safe return to homeland.
Traveling alone was a unique experience, with ups n downs.
The downs are in the form of my bingitness towards the crew and officers back there in Damascus International Airport. Sungguh mencabar kesabaranku yang teramat. *clench fists*…
Other than that, it was more or less a fine journey. In the first flight from Damascus to Doha, my seat partner was a 2 year old Arab girl. Every once in a while, she would call out to me: “Khaltouh! Khaltouh!” (meaning “Auntie” in Arabic), trying to grab my attention. N her mom, who was sitting at her other side with her smallest child on her lap, was repeatedly saying: “aib mama! Aib mama!” to the little girl, part of her unfruitful attempts to stop her from leaning towards me and trying to feed me (-_-“), etc. Fyi, Arabs often refer to their kids as “mama” or "baba". “aib” refers to an act that’s shameful or inappropriate.
But in general, she is very lovely, just a bit hyperactive kot. Haa!
In the next flight, from Doha to Damascus, I was seated next to a 4-year old Indonesian boy. Lancar betul dia berbual. In pure, thick Indonesian accent. Comel!
Changi International Airport, Terminal 3, 2:30pm
Back in Singapore, was greeted by my family, n the kids. N a big bouquet of rose from 2nd bro n family. cantiiiiik nah! ^-^
The kids have really grown up, n can’t seem to stop talking n asking me questions. Syaakirah, my 4 yr old niece, the one who my family nicknamed as my kembar (coz she resembles me a lot when I was a kid), loves to follow me around the house. Asking me “Why”S everytime she sees me doing something. The best thing is, she really heeds my advice.
E.g. when I told her to eat with only her fingers n showed her how to do it (initially, she ate with her palms. Habis nasi melekat kat pipi semua~), she quickly tried to follow me. When I ask her to eat vegetables (got to know from my sis that she doesn’t eat veggie), she agreed to do so, n even said that the veggie was delicious. Baiknye anak sedara cik Ija… come here to nenek’s house more often lah, n I’ll guide u thru many other stuffs k :D
Her little sister, Huda, aged 2 +, has put on a LOT of weight. Till now, I still wonder how she managed to be that BIG n chubby. >_<
Asadullah n Safiyya are more or less the same, just that they’ve grown taller, n their teeth got bigger. Hehe. Patah tumbuh hilang berganti punye kes beb~ Haydar is getting more n more handsome...
Zainul n Nasuha pun dah tinggi! n my Zainul punye suara dah pecah, dah betul2 mcm lelaki dah -_-“ he’s now 14 yrs old. That day Cik Ija dtg rumah abg, eksyen tak dgr kan, haa, kan dah kene bantai dgn bantal! Serves u right for ignoring my presence =P
N Mu’adz! He’s 1 + now, just learnt how to walk. Hardly cries, n always smiling. Aca sikit je, terus dia senyum! Very charming… kalau macam gini sampai ke besar, habislah nnt byk girl cair~

Went to Kota Tinggi with the rest to visit my uncle n The Kebun. Full of fruits n insects. Haa! Kitorang cari durian yg gugur (adalah dalam 30 biji!), petik manggis (abang suruh panjat pokok manggis yang daunnya rimbun tu, gue panjat… nasib baik tahu turun -_-“), rambutan (tolong petik je, dah hampir 2 thn tak makan rambutan pun, masih tak minat rambutan sgt), pulasan n limau kasturi. Ada durian belanda pun (soursop)! Duku belum musim lg.
Puas makan durian hari tu. Dorang kurang asam, sikit2, pass to me, using the reason that I’ve not eaten durian for a very long time.
“haa! Makan yg ni Dja! Nanti dah balik Syria tak dpt makan lagi..” ,
“haa! Yg ni sedap!”,
“haa! Yg ni tepi dia kene tebuk tupai sikit. Mesti sedappp ni. Betul!”
“yang ni kucing tidur (I just got to know that durian yg seulas je dalam satu “compartment” tu dipanggil “kucing tidur”. Ade2 je~), mesti best ni..”
“ yang ni pun sedap. Betuuuuuul!” *sungguh2 sua durian tu kat gue*
-_-“
…
Right now still in the midst of planning my holiday scedule. Places n people to visit, books to read, dars to attend (either here in Singapore or via the CDs n VCDs I brought back from Syria), chores to be done, tuition to give (my old tutee request me to tutor her Maths! Sec 3 syllabus. Ya Rabb, dah berzaman gue tak revise Maths =/…), etc. etc. One thing for sure, the time must be spent meaningfully. Tak boleh nk relax2 sepanjang masa tau Khadijah….
p.s. very looking forward to catch up with my friends ^-^
